1. Introduction

DreamKeg ("we," "our," or "us") is a dream journaling platform that lets you record, tag, and explore your dreams. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use dreamkeg.com and related services (the "Service"). By using DreamKeg, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

•Account Information: When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, and profile picture via Google or GitHub OAuth, or an email/password you provide.
•Dream Content: Dream text you submit, including titles and body text. Dreams are private by default and only made public if you choose.
•AI-Generated Data: Tags, categories, and analysis generated by our AI from your dream text. This processing happens server-side and is not shared with third parties beyond our AI provider (Anthropic) for the sole purpose of generating tags.
•Profile Information: Username, bio, location, and avatar emoji you choose to share on your profile.
•Usage Data: Basic analytics such as pages visited, feature usage, and error logs to improve the Service.
•Social Interactions: Follows, likes, comments, and invite activity you perform on the platform.

3. How We Use Your Information

•To provide and operate the dream journaling service
•To generate AI-powered tags and analysis of your dream content
•To display your public profile and public dreams to other users
•To send notifications about social activity (follows, comments, invite acceptances)
•To send email invites on your behalf when you invite someone
•To improve, maintain, and protect the Service
•To enforce our Terms of Service and prevent abuse

4. AI Processing

Your dream text is sent to Anthropic's Claude AI for tag generation and content moderation. This processing is solely to provide the Service's features. We do not use your dream content to train AI models. Anthropic's data handling is governed by their own privacy policy and our data processing agreement with them.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in these limited cases:

•Public Content: Dreams you mark as public, your profile info, and your tags are visible to other DreamKeg users.
•Service Providers: We use Supabase (database/auth), Anthropic (AI processing), Resend (email delivery), and Vercel (hosting). These providers access data only as needed to operate the Service.
•Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of our users.

6. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL) with row-level security policies. Authentication is handled via Supabase Auth with encrypted tokens. We use HTTPS for all data transmission. Private dreams are only accessible to you — they are filtered at the database query level using row-level security.

7. Your Rights & Controls

•Privacy Controls: You can mark any dream as private or public at any time.
•Data Export: You can request a copy of all your data by contacting us.
•Account Deletion: You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
•Profile Editing: You can update or remove your bio, location, and other profile information at any time.

8. Cookies & Local Storage

We use essential cookies and local storage for authentication sessions only. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.

9. Children's Privacy

DreamKeg is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes via the Service or email. Continued use of DreamKeg after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
