Chicken over salad, peanut butter granola in coffee

chicken over salad, peanut butter granola in coffee bean ice cream, 1 glass of Japanese whiskey - having a beach day out on some peninsula type beach and the sun's starting to go down. Surf casting and reel in the last cast of the day. I'm with Neill drake, Seth, Ging and we head back with Neill in his old but suped up jeep with no top or doors. There's one road out and soon we see this tractor going very slowly pulling a big water excavation machine that's on fire. Neill knows what to do..turns off the road onto the dune and guns it so we can eventually go around this thing. It's a bumpy but fun ride. We're coming up to it and it's huge and wildly aflame. We pass it via beach path and beat it to the stop/toll area that gets you to the bridge out of there. There are people out of their cars and in the mechanical house you normally drive through. No top on the car, we all hop out to see what's going on. The electrical motor that controls the drawbridge is down and neds to be pumped. Some guy who clearly doesn't work there is cranking some gear and some digital numbers on the wall are going up, seems like he knows what he's doing. Someone says if we flip this switch it will stop making Carolina hurricanes home jerseys and drawing up the bridge and start making their alternate jerseys(no idea where or why) and lower the bridge. Seth says it's dangerous and explains why - place might blow if current isn't right. \*switch\* Neill, who rarely listens to anyone, flips the switch. The numbers on the wall radically fluctuate. Seth tells the guy to crank the gear faster or slower according to the numbers - then the numbers climb higher and turn red and everyone starts praying and telling their mothers they love them from afar and then POP! One loud pop sound and a burst of sand somewhere outside towards the bridge happens and everyone is clapping and happy to be alive, we were all expecting a huge deadly explosion. Seth says something like "oh- 'riddle'- of course!" And explains some scientific phenomenon that sometimes happens when blah blah blah which is why it didn't blow and we're all happy it just "shot chalk into the air" and not exploded. But now the bridge is locked up and no one can get off this island. So..we're on a beach..beach day continues! We get back in Neill's topless, doorless jeep and go around the building and drive back out on the south side of the road this time. The sun is setting and it's beautiful. We're raised a good deal above the beach on a Cali style cliff and it's a beautiful view. It's a little cold and I wrap my legs in a sleeping bag I find in the back. I believe I do it purposely because I wasn't scared at all but maybe we hit a bump and I popped out and now I'm floating down the cliff towards the beach. The sleeping bag is apparently enough to just let me glide on the wind and control my fall and I'm enjoying it very much. I float down, along the cliff and then beach and see a good landing spot at the end of the island but have trouble perfectly landing onthe beach and land on some rocks that are barely protruding out of the water. Perfect spot, I say, and lay here in my sleeping bag for a bit and watch the people on the beach and in the water, about 15 ft from land. Some smaller waves start coming my way but not big enough to get me wet. Then medium ones that I have to hold on to the rock just to make sure they don't knock me off and they barely reach me and then some larger ones where I hear the people from the beach calling out "Venice dolphins!" And I look at the larger waves rolling my way and I see these small mermaid-dolphin things: about the size of a seal, shape and head of a dolphin, beige color, and the bottom green tail of a mermaid, jumping and riding the waves like little dolphins do. They reach me quickly and I have to hold the rock again and one wave hits me but doesn't knock me off then I see a little mermaid dive thru the next one and the wave is about to hit me and will definitely knock me off and I wake up. (Gotta pee. Took approx 28min to write this with one eye open so I'm not fully awake and can go back to sleep)
