Knife Sharpening Class Gone Wrong

was at this knife sharpening class led by Marcus from Justin’s men’s group who just got into it and was now teaching it. Brought some knives of mine that were in bad shape and desperate need of a proper sharpening and fixing up. In order to do so you had to make this little concoction out of honey, black pepper, some thing that looked like green salsa, and some coffee and grounds. You had to put that on the sharpening stone and was going to drag the knife thru it, but I didn’t have any coffee and the class drank all the coffee made for this project so I asked if anyone would just give me a little of theirs so I could actually do this and most didn’t have any left and the rest said no! And the teacher didn’t care, even tho I’m like this coffee is for this project NOT drinking. So I went back to Marcus and he said I could use his pile of slop, because it wouldn’t work without it. Taylor Carson was there too and I think was gonna sharpen some knives as well. We dragged one knife thru the mixture on the rock and were told we need to do that like 100 more times. Woke up after 1

✧ AI Analysis: You find yourself in a class where the tools and materials needed to participate are consumed or withheld by others, leaving you unable to complete the task on your own terms — a classic dream of frustration and being let down by a group you expected support from. The elaborate ritual required to sharpen something (honey, pepper, salsa, coffee on a stone) suggests that self-improvement feels unnecessarily complicated or gatekept right now. The fact that a near-stranger, Marcus, is the one who ultimately helps you while the class fails you may point to finding unexpected allies outside your usual circles.
