Broadway Cats on a Caribbean Island Paradise

was visiting my sister Julia on this Caribbean chain of islands that made this network community where she was
teaching. The islands were like an 4x4 tiled block of islands that were
mostly beach, but small and easily travelable between them. Was with my
mom, Jackie, And moms friend Dwight(just met from Merrill Lynch). First
we explored this tropical paradise and Julia showed us around and her
apartment, which was small but nice. I asked about rent and if I could
move in but woman said no rooms available for at least a year. We walked
around this small bazaar for a bit and then went to the beach, which was
most of the place. Ryan Craine met up with us then and we hung out with
everyone for a bit, enjoying the sun, and then we had to leave because I
bought Ryan tickets to see \"Cats\" the Broadway show for his bday on
this tiny island community. It was their biggest attraction and seemed
fun, so we went over to the theater early and sat down. The cast came
out, told us a bit about the islands and this show and then answered
questions and hung out for a bit. Ryan asked some good question about
why they had to turn the lights on every time a new person came in, they
should just have a sign-in room outside so they don\'t have to turn the
lights on during the show. The girl was astounded and said brilliant
idea and they would definitely look into that ASAP. I guess that was the
preshow, now everyone got up and was to find their real seats and hang
for a bit before the real show started. Now we were dressed in suits and
everything was a bit more fancy. we then moved up to the nice section
and we didn\'t have the best seats but wanted to check it out. Saw some
fancy table with an attractive girl that was standing there, seemingly
checking people in. we went over and I asked how we sit over here. She
said \"haha you just need to be from New York!\" I said, we are from New
York! And she gave us this upgrade that let us sit anywhere. She also
taped a small square of plastic to the back of our hands \"so that when
we went to the bathroom, we wouldn\'t mess up our hair after washing our
hands\". Had no idea how that would work, but was a nice gesture so we
entertained it. We thanked her and because we were early and could sit
anywhere, took the best seats at pretty much the best table in the
place. Sipped our glasses of champagne as others came and sat down and
they were people we saw before on the island and were super friendly.
One woman came and had a cool skirt stitched into old video game designs
and characters. My tape was coming off and I wanted to talk to the girl
more, so I told Ryan I\'d brb and went back over to her. When she was
done helping someone else at the table I described my problem with the
tape falling off the plastic and asked her if she could retape me but go
around the wrist and across it to help it stay. She smiled and took my
hand. Started taping and making small talk about the show and living on
the island and then there was an announcement to find your seat. I
thanked her and told her I hoped to see her again later. She said \"me
too\" and then I sat down and as soon as I did the guy making the
announcement from stage asked if there was a Carson there. A joe Carson?
Not sure what this was about, but I stood up and he gestured for my to
come closer. He said My ticket is A16 and I was not allowed to sit at
the god table. I said \"with all due respect sir, I was told I was
allowed to sit here, or anywhere, and would be grateful if I was allowed
to stay in this seat and celebrate Cats with my good friend on his
birthday.\" He laughed and pretty much said no, I\'d be lucky now if I
could stay at all. So I asked the crowd, said loudly enough for all to
hear \"am I taking your seat or bothering you by sitting here?\...\"and
waited for the crowds response which was \"noooo\" \"\...or should I be
allowed to stay sitting here and enjoy this lovely performance with you
all?\" \"Yesss!!\" The crowd roared. I turned around and walked back to
my seat. I saw the girl at her checkin table thing smile at me.
Cheers\'d Ryan, took a sip of champagne and then the lights dimmed and
the starting music played. Woke up as the play started.
