NYC Flood and Polar Bear Adventure
Was in nyc when some catastrophic event happened where it rained super
fast and started filling the city with water. Eventually it filled
midtown and times sq with like 40ft of water. But you could sort of
breathe in it. People were learning to breathe in it? I was with some
people when I decided to go find my family and raj from PIMCO came with
me. I just saw on the news that the big cube thing from union sq was
floating around and it was attached to a chain connected to a HUGE polar
bear, who was swimming around playing with it. Once I turned the corner
which looked like it was 54th and 6th ave, I saw the polar bear in
person! It was huge. There was so much action in the streets, with a ton
of people swimming around, vendors were still hawking their goods.
Behind the polar bear, about a block north, there was a ride-like thing
that was a tram like the Roosevelt island tram. But it was open, instead
of closed, was a big open flat circle shaped and designed to look like a
flower and there was a track under it until it got up about 60-80ft. It
was like the tram mixed with a ski lift. So we decided to get on. My mom
and sister and a few azn girls from (irl) last nights cook and go span
class got on first. Raj and some other girl from PIMCO got on the next
one and I got on the third by myself. But I wanted to be with everyone,
and apparently so did raj, who took off running for the flower my mom
was on. He turned into hosein at this point. I ran quickly to the 2nd
flower but still had one more to go and not much time before the next
one\'s track beneath ended and it would be a very high drop back into
the water. So I\'m sprinting, trying to beat the track and jump into
this small open part that was left on the flower. Everyone was cheering
and they made room for me to jump on and I JUST made it with the last
bit of track. Then walls come up the sides of the flower and it makes
some awesome room and turns into more of the Roosevelt island tram. Then
I caught up with my mom and she told me about how Jackie was getting
into volunteering and the peace corp and wanted to donate money to the
wounded warrior foundation and told me about how when James was little
dad told him he had to donate some money to church so he donated 31\$,
all he had at like 6-7, to church that week. End.
