Chaperoning Kids on Dangerous School Roof Day

me and Nikki volunteered to chaperone at an elementary school(that was like ocean ave in npt) on "roof day" where all the kids
go on the roof of the school buildings. I don't know who came up with
this or why it was a good idea but we were tasked with watching a bunch
of 3 & 4th graders on a 3 story roof. We had to climb a ladder to get to
the top then walk around and there were even poles if you wanted to lean
over the roof but have something to hold on to. Me and Nikki did it,
cause why not, and when she went back first it shook the pole so I had
to adjust to get back on the roof. Then we had to help the kids down,
from the steep roof part to the flat landing below was like 5 ft, so the
kids kinda had to hang over the side then drop another 2ft to the
landing. We could help catch them if they wanted. Was weird but seemed
normal at the time so we went along with it.
