Hockey Redemption and Position Switch

was on an men's league ice hockey team with Chevy and a bunch of other guys again. Was playing D and playing really poorly, like
always a few steps behind, just chasing guys instead of playing my
position and then capped off with getting a bad interference penalty of
just knocking a guy over for no reason. I watched and thought about it
from the penalty box after the team and coach were visibly pissed at me
and realized I needed to change something. I said to myself let's try
winger, if the coach would let me and someone would switch. I got out of
the box as the 2nd period ended so I went and talked to the coach, who
was pretty much D-toons from SD, and apologized for losing my shit and
playing like shit and I needed to shake something up so could I switch
and he said ask the team and see if someone would switch. I did and got
someone to give me a chance. Was about to hit the ice and score the game
winner for the boys but alarm work up.
