Orca Rescue and Captain's Dark Past

10/10 dream- I went on this trip, a mostly men's fishing or diving expedition with a bunch of people, including Ging and sally from boston. We left out of like Saudi Arabia on this old diesel fishing/netting boat and travelled south not even very far to these tropical waters where maybe we fished or maybe not. Then came a point where the trio was ending and we could go in the water for a swim if we wanted. There were sharks in the water but they seemed nice and calm and like that was the point, to swim with them. So, why not, quietly jumped off this stand up paddleboard I was on, trying not to make a lot of splashing noise to disturb the sharks. There were already others in the water, so seemed safe. The sharks swam around and under us but no issues. Was a nice time and then as I was planning on getting back on this paddleboard, an orca swam right up to me and nudged me a bit. At first I was scared but then it just seemed like she wanted to play or wanted a pet. So I pat and rubbed her head which she seemed to like. Dunno how I knew she was a girl or how I could hear her say "please help me with this" in a very sad way but I could hear her clear as English. She opened her mouth and she had a piece of fishing line wrapped around a big tooth of hers that seemed to go deeper into her belly. So I started pulling on the line, by having to reach into her mouth which sounds scary but wasn't and started slowly pulling the line out. It was tough to get loose and didn't know if there was a hook or something on the other end so didn't want to hurt her. Sally swam over to see what I was doing and helped. Sally actually got the line ajar and off her big tooth and the orca thanked us both profusely by excited swimming around us. She then came back up slowly and I asked if we could take a picture, because apparently I still had my iPhone in my pocket, really testing its waterproof-ability. Luckily it still worked and I first got a shot of her and sally with this beautiful sunset right on the water as we undulated up and down during twilight. I flipped the phone and tried to get one of the 3 of us but the lightning was tough from that angle so didn't Come out nearly as good. We were called back on the big boat to head home so we said a sad goodbye to the orca, as if we'd been friends forever and she seemed to be eternally grateful, maybe saving her life, and we swam back down into the water and under the boat to this water enTerance in the hull of the boat. We got back on and the old scallywag captain and crew were barking orders and preparing for departure. I went to one area where I could see my orca friend waiting for me to say goodbye with her whole family, was maybe 8 orcas of different sizes. The captain was talking to them, in a kind of mean voice, like he'd known them and spoken before and then said that area is off limits and we must be going. He had everyone down in this loading area and asked if we had any mechanics on board..silence, any "gasmen" or some other occupation that had to deal with gas..silence/no hands, any "Joseph's on board"..raised my hand, "here sir, but you'll have to show me what to do". Sure, showed me how to simply add oil to the old engine of the boat and that was now my job, fine and good. Then the captain started giving the route to the second mate who would be navigating the ship. The mate didn't seem to like or agree with the route laid out for him by the captain and suggested the way quicker route, but the captain didn't budge, giving the mate a handful of reasons about political strife, no families after dark in that area, etc etc. so we'd be taking the 5x longer route. Fine. Then we departed without getting to say goodbye to my orca friend. Once going we were allowed to wander the boat a little and me and Ging sat down along a porthole and watched this movie that was on where this little kid, presumably the captain, or the captain's son, appeared on the same ship as us and in a very Wes Anderson-Esque film, where the 2 boys who were in the film who sat exactly where we were sitting, as if they were us, we're forced to sit down to lunch with this child. In the film the child was preparing a fake lunch for the other two, essentially narrirators of the movie, and then got mad and just stared at one of them because he thought there would only be one, not two, others to lunch. He just stared and the person sitting where Ging was tried to explain its fine and he's sorry and it's okay if he didn't have enough fake food for us both or something and got up and walked over to the boy who swiftly took out his chefs knife, that apparently was very real, unlike the food he was preparing, and with one movement lunged at the man and slit his throat, who's body then hit the deck of the boat and a big gush of water leaked out of the man and onto the deck(which I thought was a nice cinematic touch, vs using blood which it represented). There was actually way more water covering the deck than there would have been blood, but it was okay cause was clear water in the blood's place. The rest of the movie sort of fast forwarded thru the rest of the boy, and the other person at lunch that days life and got to the end where it showed the boy was/is in fact the captain of the boat and the other person is now the chef of the boat, which is true. And somehow they're friends still to this day. Woke up

โœง AI Analysis: You experienced an extraordinary dream of connection and compassion, rescuing an orca from fishing line entanglement during what began as a routine expedition. The dream shifts dramatically from this beautiful marine encounter to watching a dark film about the boat's captain, suggesting themes of hidden violence beneath seemingly peaceful adventures and the complex nature of human relationships over time.
