Storm Leak and Basement Goalie Adventure

was back at my old Northport, NY house with Andrew and Ging. The living room was much bigger now and the ceiling was a little higher. Many indoor plants around. A storm rolled in and started dumping rain on the house. It was pretty cool watching the storm through the skylights and big open room. The issue was a leak started and then expanded into a huge leak. Rain from this one area on the roof was being funnelled onto this other area of the roof, almost underneath it somehow , which was then getting into the house. It was welling up in the ceiling and then surging straight through this area into the basement. So we decided letโs go in the basement and see where it was going and whatโs happening. For some reason I put hockey goalie pads on and Ging was gonna stay upstairs and yell down to us where it was so me and Andrew went down. We found the leak no problem since it was a LOT of water coming through and I had to squeeze through some areas to get to it due to having these pads on my legs but then we saw it and all the water was going into this crack in the floor, which worked out fine I guess. But the water level dirt marks on the walls indicated once this crack fills up itโll likely flood the basement again, but was only like 2 feet up the wall. This would likely happen today due to so much water coming in, but there wasnโt much we could do about it now so we went back upstairs. I told them stories of how the old guy who lived in this house used to have a ton of animals, big fish tanks and a huge tortoise and cat who used to be friends and the cat would ride its back around the big open room. I was saying we should do that here again, turn it into a zoo again.
