Teaching in Japan - Rock Painting & New School Transfer

Was teaching back in Japan again but was like normal elementary school, not just English. So I was teaching gym too. Our principal had all the teachers do this team building exercise where we had to like paint rocks with motivating quotes and designs we came up with. One of the other teachers, a U.S. army vet, was also a teacher and he was having a tough time so we just kept playing basketball instead. The principal got a little mad at us and she said we had like 5min to show present our work to everyone else. I had one green rock with some random quote that I thought was good enough to share, so I didn't care that much. Then I transferred to another Japanese school teaching older kids which I liked. I was finalizing the details with that new principal and he was super pumped for me to start there, thought I was a perfect fit. I asked about pay and it was only $20/hr but cash so that was a slight upgrade from the $20 on the books at the other Japanese school. I was excited to start, I liked teaching the older kids much more and seemed like I would have a ton more flexibility in this school.
