became a teacher at the same middle wchool school Seth taught at and got called in day 1 as a sub where I wasn't orepared but if I did good I could have the job. I was going over class material and John Matthews famous vanishing coin trick where he makes it disappear between his fingers. The quarter was constantly getting picked up off the floor. The class started and apparently went very well where they offered me the job despite me not remembering it at all. I was excited at this chapter of life to be able to influence and direct kids lives for good again and then next thing I know I'm being asked to pack up my stuff because I went out with Mr Francis one night and came back to the school and slept there naked and class started and that's how the kids found me, naked on a desk with my clothes everywhere. The sweet old secretary was taking inventory as she helped me pack and asked how many games I had. I had 8, Seth had 16. I could hear Seth explaining to his aide across the hall the things he and she were packing up, his 16 games and an award he won for helping kids in a group hw started "future leaders of America" but hearing it in his voice that it doesn't matter now and him being very dejected that he could have and should have been such a good teacher. Dave Smar picked us up and I told them this sad joke I had been working on but never had the courage to say about a moth flying into a dentist's office. Somehow I decided my time on this planet was over and subliminally told Dave to kill me in an accident somehow and him and Seth agreed to it. So he started driving into oncoming traffic on the express way but we never hit anyone, then pulled off an exit and drove around this little city town on a hill and Dave was careful to avoid the pedestrians around town and knew just the spot he would do it and started gunning the engine and drove diagonally at this steep rock face and we hit it top speed where we were airborne for a few seconds and then hit the cliff at an angle where the left side of the car hit, then tumbled over and over down the right. We were dead I presume. And then I was back in the classroom writing down this exact story and put the finishing line on it "...because the light was on" which was the punchline of the moth joke and closed the book I was scribbling in. Woke up.
