Mara was having people over to celebrate something and I was helping her prep as people started to roll in. We were making cowboy caviar and was talking about renting I Tonya later to watch. She asked me to go help her mom pick up the cake or something so I went with her mom and aunt who I hadn’t met (fake dream people). We walked a long way and at some point had to scribble up sandy beach rock/dirt and I made a joke to the aunt that we were really making a pilgrimage for this cake. The aunt got super offended because a pilgrimage is a religious journey and not to be made light of and I apologized. We got to the store and the aunt had to step outside for a bit and then the mom started yelling at me for not being unhelpful so I kinda yelled back that I wasn’t doing anything wrong and then the mom calmed down and apologized for being stressed and said the aunt is addicted to crack and she just found out
