Skating Adventure and New Friendship Discovery

6/21/2025 -  with James and Jackie and we were visiting mom or Julia who lived by a school and I think it was a work day but we were gonna take off the day and go check out Thai rink by the school and skate and walk around and work from there. It was a big outdoor rink with a big walking loop around it. James and Jackie went on a walk to scoot it out first and then this guy my age showed up and then this girl, they apparently worked for Starbucks corporate and were having a meeting here. After the meeting she left and he hung around and he seemed cool so we started chatting. Was cool, then he left for a bit. I went up this light hill then back down and on the way down you could almost skate/ski the path down, just on shoes. It wasn't cold but there was like a thin layer of ice on some things. When I got back down to the car the guy was back and he had on this islanders/chargers logo collab thing so I asked him if he was an islanders fan and he said yea! He was from cherry grove NJ and moved out here(now SD again) a little while ago for work. His roommate was one of the original Starbucks employees and had a ton of shares that they were always trying to get him sell off but he wouldn't out of principal ha. He had to take a call with his dad back east so I let him go but wanted to talk more and prob hang sometime. I went back up the hill and this time kinda bombed it on the way down, leaned forward, hit some minor jumps, and got a bunch of speed. At one point was able to like squirrel suit fly when leaned forward enough. Was awesome
