3/4/2021- I was on the Islanders and we were playing against the
Chicago Blackhawks, which john Matthews was on. We were both our team's
worst player but hey, we were on the team! It was a low scoring game and
I just remember saying to myself "damn, if only I was as good at ice
skating as I was roller blading I'd actually be good). Game ended like
1-1 and we went into a shootout. Not sure why they let John shoot at
all, but he shot 3rd and did this weird flip shot thing over the
goalie's shoulder that actually went in, even tho no one actually saw it
go in, only that it was in the net afterwards. The announcers said it
was magic. It might have been.
