Stranded Cliff Diving Survival Dilemma

kite surfing from plane, got unattached and stranded somehow on this very VERY high cliff/island. Was about 8 of us stranded up here, beautiful view maybe a full mile up, overlooking mostly water but some islands and land. Had to figure out how to either live on here or get down. The whole thing was very precarious, there was not a lot of room and the wind gusts were powerful. Pretty much just clinging to rock the whole time. Was was shirtless guy Jake from run club and a few others. Jake kinda had enough and figured he'd either get down or die by jumping, so without warning he let go and did this very acrobatic dive off the cliff where we just watched him fall for like 10seconds before hitting the water. To our amazement he surfaced shortly after and we could see his tiny spec swimming. Don't think any of the rest of us had the balls to do that..but we all might have to cause how else we're we going to get down? Luckily woke up before had to jump.
