Hidden Water Damage Unleashes Bug Infestation

was at \"home\" but was really aunt jeans and uncle toms house and mostly the living room area but it didn\'t have as much furniture and had a tv. More setup for the Carson\'s. Was gonna watch a movie or something and my mom comes in and starts telling me there\'s water in the garage and I gotta check it out. (The garage is next to the living room in this house) so I check and it looks like there\'s a little leak or something coming from the living room. Little standing water against the living room wall. So I investigate a little with a screwdriver and start poking around. The floor is concrete, so nothing there, but I poke into the wall and its soft. I decide to go into the living room and poke from the other side. I move the couch next to the wall and start poking around the floor. Further from the wall the harder the wood floor is, but as I get closer to the wall next to the garage the floor gets weaker until eventually I can poke right thru it like it\'s wet cardboard. So I cut an outline in the floor for where it\'s extremely easy to cut thru with just a screwdriver and underneath is a few inches of water, up to the wood, and a ton of big ants and spiders. And they now start to crawl out all over the place, now that I\'ve disrupted their nest. I immediately scream to my mom to get me some bug spray ASAP and she comes running in to ask what and sees this. I\'m still tearing up more of the floor and I yell at her to get the bug spray! The bugs are spreading by the minute and I\'m tearing more and more floor up. Probably like a 6x3ft hole now, where a TON of bugs have been living under or in the wood. She comes back with it and I start spraying all over. It\'s working. My sister (Julia) comes in and I tell her to get out. The fumes are bad and bugs are everywhere. Sufficiently sprayed, I start digging up more floor. James comes home from playing some sports in the street with his friends and he starts helping. We dig up the rest of the floor and this one panel next to the garage wall overturns the hive. HUGE black widows, enormous ant things, and just a shit ton of smaller bugs start crawling out. I have to sortof crawl away and spray from afar and we get most of them. Some escape like under the floor into the under the garage on the other side of the wall. We look at our massacre and the room is filled with millions of dead ants and spiders. My mom starts to pick up the wood and drag it outside and I stop her and say \"mom, you\'re going to drag a billion dead ants thru the hallway to get them outside? Camon. Get a garbage can.\"(my mom in real life is smarter than this and would have gotten a can and helped more before). Then Ryan Craine comes over and helps put the wood in big garbage cans and drag them outside. Half the room\'s floor has been pried up and has 2 inches of water floating beneath where the wood floor was, full of bug corpses. My mom calls a guy to come suck that water out and our job is pretty much done. Go outside and see Ricky and his baby and their dad Rick walking by. Say hi and dream ends.
