School Bus Vote on Tom's Writing Dream

was on a "school trip" but as adults in Northport. Nick Parker was kinda the principal more than friend and we were on our
way home and Tom Luckey announced he was quitting his job and going head
first into writing. Nick and everyone else told him no, he couldn't do
that, he couldn't give up the high paying finance job he was at, etc
etc. Tom said he didn't care about that and his happiness was worth more
than money. They still said no and wouldn't let him get his credit card
from the front of the bus to make the big purchase he needed to start
writing. Nick finally said okay we'll put it to a vote and every
classmate on the bus got to vote if he should be able to or not. I
thought everyone would've supported him, Especially as an adult, like me
and vote "yes, let Tom live his life, find happiness and fulfillment,
and spend his own money how he wants!" But when came time to vote, I was
the only one who voted that way. Kinda sad
