Teaching English and Finding Friendship

taught English at an English school! Dream began before classes actually started and was me collecting my students scattered all around the school, like a game of manhunt..but kids not men. I found two kids nearby and one was new to the school and very shy. He looked scared and on the verge of tears. The other kid noticed too. I asked the confident kid who had been here before what his name was. He said mike. I asked mike to ask the new student what his name was. He did but the kid didn't respond. I crouched down the kid and said it's okay bud, I'll help "my name is.." in a way he could repeat, and he looked at Mike and said "my name is Sam" and then I had him ask Mike what his name was and he did. Then they were friends. Collected the rest of the kids and the bell rang.ย  My class was like 3rd/4th graders. On this day, the 5th and 6th grade English teachers were out so I had to teach 3 classes at once in the same room. I divided the room into their 3 grades. Started off with a "good morning class!" And they responded "good morning Mr Carson, how are you?" all at once and I knew I had done this before, despite forgetting how I did it.ย  Then, since I forgot how I normally ran 3 classes in 1, I decided to ask the class! I said "okay class, we've done this before, where we have 3 classes together\...for a sticker, who remembers how it goes?" And one of the older girls with Olivia written on her desk raised her hand. I called on her and she recalled "you rotate around: you have a lesson with 1 class, you have 1 class read and write and.." some kids started talking but I went up to their desk and they stopped "..annnnnddddd(she struggled to remember but then got it!) and the last class plays jeopardy!" Hahah. Excellent job, Thank you Olivia! And I gave her a lion sticker I had. As I was about to start with these 3 classes, an older teacher of about 45 came in and took over the 6th grade class and then Kyle Gallagher came in right behind and took over the 5th graders, which was Olivia's class. Was perfect timing and I just started going over intros with my class (which had the two kids in the hall I made say hi) when I woke up.
